I really love children's books. I think I have mentioned before that I collect a children's guide to each place I visit (the children's guide to The Louvre was much more interesting than the heavy, detialed, dull adult version. And a lot easier to read!). So, I was really excited to stumble across the blog, My Vintage Book Collection which chronicles some amazing now out of print vintage books. It's a beautiful blog. My favourite book fetured was this book, Sleepy Book - written by Charlotte Zolotow and illustrated by Bobri (1958). The illustrations are absolutely beautiful- spiders, horses and a seal all against the backdrop of a twinkly, midnight blue sky.. The blog owner Mallory also has a lovely Etsy shop filled with fantastic vintage book finds.
