It's Saturday!

Buy yourself some lovely flowers! I love these that I picked up for only £2 this week!

Have a great weekend...any nice plans?

Make Today Ridiculously Amazing

Happy Friday afternoon! I really wanted to share this print from Ex Libris Journals. Love it. I am really into inspiring prints at the moment.

Also, I have a guest post up on my favourite places in London on Dot Dot Dash today. Thanks Kat!

Art in the Sand

Images from Jim Denevan

Friday, I really like you.

I really like this work from Jim Denevan too. He creates temporary work in sand, ice and the earth which is then washed away by the waves and weather. I love this concept! The work involved is incredible.

This week has been a long, busy week so I am excited for a relaxing weekend! What are your plans? If I can get hold of any petrol I really want to head into the countryside for a Love Where You Live post.

Awesome Bookcase Bar

Images from Sous Style

Thursday! This week is flying by don't you think? London was good yesterday! Although I was actually working, I did have chance to pop into Hummingbird Bakery and buy myself a cupcake for the journey home. Delicious.

So, I love this bookcase bar idea from Sous Style. Like a lot of people, I am loving vintage cocktails lately (probably Mad Men's fault). How amazing would this be to have in your house? An Old Fashioned would just be seconds away!

Linocuts- Houses, Bikes and French Fries

Images from Jim Mezei
Good morning! Happy Wednesday. I am off to London today (for work), but it's always nice to visit there! Certainly breaks up the week.
I really love the colours used in these linocuts from Jim Mezei. I love the houses print and crinkle fries are a huge blast from the past!

The Makers Project

I love creative people and I love seeing into their work methods and work spaces. So, I instantly loved The Makers Project photographed by Jennifer Causey. Jennifer photographs people behind creative businesses and projects in Brooklyn.

People like Robicellis, a really delicious looking bakery.

The project is awesome and I really recommend you take a look. After looking at the images, I really want to quit my job and immerse myself in something creative immediately!

Lots of painted horses? Ok.

Images from Ann Wood

Thank you, Ann Wood. Sometimes on a Monday afternoon you need something like a lot of cardboard painted horses to brighten your day. Fantastic!

Outstanding In The Field

Happy Monday! It was quite difficult getting up this morning as we lost an hour over the weekend. But, now that we're in to British summer time and we have lots more light, I have been thinking a lot about eating outside and planning great picnics or dinners on sunny summer nights.

Outstanding in the Field is the ultimate outside dining experience! Their mission is to re connect diners to the origins and land of their food. How amazing would it be to attend one of these dinners in these settings? Beautiful!

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday! Spring is definitely on its way, it is a gorgeous, sunny day here. I bought some flowers for myself this weekend- I love doing that! Here are some nice links for you to peruse:

A Visit to a Vintage Circus

Images from LIFE

It's Friday! Time for some photography. This week I have been pretty obsessed with searching through the LIFE archives- you can seriously get lost in there for hours. It's a treasure trove for sure.

I came across this circus party shoot by Martha Holmes from 1947 and I love it. Can you imagine working or being at a circus like this? I keep looking at the images because I keep seeing stuff I love- bunting, a massive teddy bear, streamers, a man in a cannon, a woman in slippers...

Blue Houses and Green People

Images from Eleanor Rudge

Uk artist Eleanor Rudge has produced these lovely illustrations. They really brightened my day, that's for sure! The speech bubbles coming from the houses really made me smile. Eleanor has also designed work for one of my favourite current artists, Bon Iver. Great talent!

I Want To Ride My Bicycle

Images from Bobbin Bicycles

I am in love with the lookbook of English upright bicycle company Bobbin Bicycles. Love!

They say that bicycles are 'magical contraptions, charged with the power to transform a journey into an adventure'. Can't argue with that! I really love the red dress, too.

New York In Colour

Images from Guardian

I probably should have saved these images until the Friday Photography feature, but I couldn't wait! I think these colour photos of New York are really amazing. I love the camel coats that are so fantastically 70s with street steam and 1940s Vogue photo shoot with skyscrapers in the background. And all in bright, beautiful colour.

I am having a serious case of wanderlust at the moment, and these photos just add to it!

A Place I Would Like To Eat

Images from The Pie Hole

Happy Monday. Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I really wanted to share this great restaurant I came across (virtually!). The Pie Hole in LA looks like a fantastic restaurant. Just for pies! As well as all of the delicious pies I love the menus on the paper rolls- great style!

And now I want pie for breakfast!

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I made these chocolate brownies this week and they turned out really well, so I had to share the photo!

Here are some links to brighten your Sunday. I really love the links this week:
