Monday afternoons can be so dreary! What is more perfect than sitting down with a cup of something nice and reading a great magazine? I wanted to share my love for Lonny Magazine. It's full of great features and inspiration, and perfect for whiling the time away soaking up ideas.

I love the butterfly artwork featured in the latest issue, just brilliant! Check out the latest issue here.

Matt W Moore Mural

Following the clocks going back this weekend and the days getting darker, I am in need of some serious colour this dark Monday! This massive aerosol mural from Matt W Moore is just up my street- a perfect dose of pattern and colour.

Sunday Space- A Cosy Trailer

Image from re-nest

How amazing is this trailer transformation by artist Julie B Montgomery? This is actually her home. I can think of no where better to curl up with a book or a laptop on a lazy, Sunday afternoon. Imagine how cosy it would be in the rain! Perfect. Take a look at the full house tour over on re-nest.

Happy Sunday + Some Fun Things

Happy Sunday!

I love the image above, it makes me want to travel and explore things immediately- I am quite restless at the moment. Any nice plans for today? It's funny, I used to hate Sundays but now I view them as completely restful and relaxing and they're not too bad!

Here are some fun links for you this Sunday- after all, Sundays are for grabbing a cup of coffee and catching up on the previous week:

Not Your Grandma's Embroidery

Images from Tawasaki Iwasaki

What comes to mind when you think of embroidery? For me, it's those old fashioned, fusty kits of kittens or flowers or monograms or dreadful textile classes at school- certainly not something contemporary. So, when I came across the work of Tawasaki Iwasaki, I was amazed and really happy to be proved wrong. Embroidery has been updated!

I love the colours in this work and the patience alone always amazes me. I love it when the different colour threads come together in a block pattern- beautiful.

Sandra Dieckmann Illustration {UK Design}

All Images from Sandra Dieckmann

I love illustration. I love it in books, prints and on greeting cards, so I am always really excited when I come across a brilliant artist with more illustrations for me to own and enjoy! I love the fact that so many illustrators are really accessible now.

Sandra Dieckmann is the artist behind these brilliant illustrations. I love the dark edge yet they all have amazing detail. You can buy her work and at her Etsy shop...I just need to decide which one to buy!

Tape City On Your Floor

Image from An Magritt

We all know how brilliant and versatile Washi tape and other decorative tape is. But how brilliant is this idea from Norwegian blogger An Magritt. I love the idea of creating a tape city on the floor! This is brilliant as it can be taken away without leaving any marks. What tape city would you create?

Mattress Frame Display

Image from No. Eleven

I came across this image on the blog No. Eleven and I thought it was really cool. I have so many photos, tickets and general ephemera that I tend to just put it all in various boxes, but I am always trying to think of better ways to display it all.

So, I love this mattress idea- it's a great way to recycle an old one before throwing it away. I love that it resuses something in a completely different way. I think it works really well in a home office, or if your space it big enough it would look brilliant on a wall. It would be super easy to do yourself too- and you could spray it in different colours to mix it up a bit.

White Walls Can Be Colourful

Images from Riazzoli

We rent our apartment. I quite like it, even the white ubiquitous white walls. They are actually my preferred wall colour, I think because then I can add so many different coloued accents that can continually change. I long to be able to paint my walls in bright colours though! Like this fluorescent pink.

So, I'm always on the look out for new interior ideas that don't involve painting or putting up wallpaper. I really love these images from Riazzoli, showing how you can infuse a lot of colour into a room with day to day objects.

City Skyline Blinds

Image from Ideas to Steal
Product from Finnish Aalto+Aalto

I have been looking for ages for some blinds for our apartment. I sumbled across these Skyline blinds on Ideas to Steal- a brilliant Norwegian interiors blog. The blinds come in city skylines including Berlin, Paris and Tokyo. How brilliant would it be to wake up to the skylines of your favourite cities each day?

I love how they let the light in!

Abstract Tattoos by Amanda Wachob

Images from Amanda Wachob via Daily Tonic

How do you feel about tattoos? My overiding feeling is that I am way to fickle to commit to a design that lasts a lifetime, but I love (good ones) them on other people. But I love these from tattoo artist Amanda Wachob. I've never seen tattoos before in such a painterly, watercolour style. I really love the abstract style.

A Fluorescent Berlin Apartment

Images and tour from Freunde Von Freunden

It's Monday! Where did the weekend go? Hope everyone had a good one. I thought I would kick off this week with a bright (fluorescent no less) apartment from Berlin- a bit of interior inspiration to start the week off. I love house/ apartment tours!

Berlin is my favourite city and I think this apartment totally fits with the style and vibe there. I have never thought of fluorescent walls, but here they work really well. I love the contrast with the white walls.

Happy Saturday + Some Fun Things

I am so happy it's Saturday- I feel as happy as the photo from Geronimo Balloons looks! It has been a long week. I must be on a huge balloon kick lately, but seriously- they're so fun. I wonder if I could get away with some bobbing away in my living room or something!

I hope you all have a fab weekend. Here are some fun things I've found this week- well worth checking out over a Saturday morning coffee!
Graffiti knitters in London. Are they the best kind of knitters?

An amazing VW camper transformation (Summer camping lust already- and I hate camping)

Don't be a sexy panda- a fantastic post on Halloween costumes

Who wouldn't want to wake up to this Parisian view?

This balloon project is something to look out for!

A pom pom heart decoration

Helium Balloons + Clementine Henrion

Happy Friday! This week has seemed really long- I'm so pleased it's almost the weekend. Do you have any nice plans?

How fantastic are these balloons from Clementine Henrion? I came across them while I was searching for helium balloons for a party I'm planning and I just love them. So fun! I think the giant sweet is my favourite.

Rosie Flo + Johnny Joe

All images from Rosie Flo

Do you collect anything? Despite not having any children yet, I collect children's guides to cities that I have been to. I love looking through the collection and seeing the different languages, styles and illustrations and seeing that city come to life! I love illustrations in books for children and I always have done. I always check them out in whatever book shop we go in to! (One of the many reasons my luggage is often overweight). It seriously started because I love to get a complete overview of a city and children's guides are perfect for this!

When I was in London, I kept seeing brilliant colouring books and children's illustration books everywhere. The shop at the Tate Modern is amazing for children's books and they had these colouring books from Rosie Flo. I love the concept- just add heads and arms and legs!

Paper, Scissors, Cut

Image from Un Beau Jour

How pretty is this cut paper invite? It's so delicate. Paper never ceases to surprise me!
I really love cut paper work, ever since seeing the art of Rob Ryan. I can never comprehend the patience work like this involves. When I was in London at the weekend, I saw some great gifts from Rob Ryan in Liberty. You can check out his work here.

Image + tape from Rob Ryan

This tape would be great for wrapping up presents.

Wrap Up Autumn With This Tape

Image from Paper Mash

Autumn is most definitely here! I am most excited as I can a) wear my new duffle coat b) drink much more hot chocolate than is normal and c) take lots of photos of pretty autumn leaves. It's my favourite season by far.

I found this great tape from Paper Mash. Perfect for an autumn gift don't you think? I do love wrapping embellishments!

Bodie and Fou Catalogue Launch

Bodie and Fou have launced their digital catalogue! They are one of my favourite blogs and so I loved reading it- is reads more like a fun magazine and totally fits with their style. It's brilliant and I can't wait to order from it. I love the workspace section the most I think. Check out the digital issue here.

Have You Got True Brit?

Love love this cushion from Selfridges. I am looking to invest in more cushions at the moment and I think this would be a perfect addition. I like mismatched cushions- it makes it easier to pick up great one-offs.

Do you have any sources for great cushion designs?

Hanging Bottle Decoration

Image and tutorial from Oh Crafts

I love this decoration idea from Oh Crafts. It can be a recycled project, done with coloured glass and use fresh or artificial flowers. You could also use coloured water if you wanted to run with a certain colour scheme. I think it really adds great design to a table!

Pom Pom Perfect

Image from Pom Pom Factory

I really needed something bright, colourful and amazing this Monday afternoon. Some Mondays are harder to deal with than others (especially after a great weekend away!) Something to cheer me up and make me smile. I think this photo pretty much covers all bases. I love this look from Pom Pom Factory. I love giant decorations and I think these are fantastic. I love them scattered about and hung up- it really makes you sit up and notice. Love it!

Now I want to create a pom pom backdrop in my living room!

A COLOURFUL LONDON

Happy Monday! I had a great weekend in London. The weather was great- sunny and warm which meant that we could walk everywhere. And we did- my feet this morning are a constant reminder! I visited all of the places I wanted to including Liberty, Anthropologie and Borough Market. We had a lot of relaxation time as well on our hotel terrace and went for a sunny Sunday walk along the river. Perfect weekend! The sun made everything seem so bright and colourful.

Hope everyone had a fab weekend too!

Animal Busts- Love or Hate?

Happy Sunday everyone. A perfect day for some online window shopping don't you think?

I love these animal busts from Anthropologie. I think they are a love it or hate it thing, but I think in the right room they would be great- they would add a great focal point and some fun to a room. I really like the paper mache, craft feel of these busts.

I think this kitchen interior found via A Dose of Pretty shows a good example of this. Less creepy hunting lodge, more fun, interesting and animal-friendly decoration! What do you think?

Arrow Light

Image + Item from mwest0425

Happy Saturday! I think that is my favourite saying. I love Saturday mornings as so much possibility lays before you! I love this light sign from mwest0425. I think it's a great message for a Saturday- go and enjoy and live your weekend.

Some ideas for some fun projects this weekend if you are at a loose end:

Have a party! With this Mini Pinata DIY from Oh Happy Day
Get outside with a Brick Garden from Design Sponge Via Brooklyn Bride
Rainbow dyed hair (awesome) from The Beauty Department
Get in the mood for autumn with Pecan Pie Macarons from Tartlette

LONDON CALLING!

Item + Image 1 Funky Little Darlings, Item + Image 2 Vinyl Wall Accents, Item + Image 3  Binary Box

This weekend I am off for London for shopping, sightseeing and eating! I love going to London. It's only a couple of hours away on the train, but I always feel as though I really get away when I go there. I love all the different things you see that really inspire! I have some great plans to visit Anthropologie for this bedding.

So, I thought I would share some of my favourite London themed wall decals. I love the way these can really transform a blank wall, especially in a rental property. Which one is your favourite?
